Step Into the Future of Geospatial Technology with KOREC
Are you a Surveyor, Engineering Surveyor, Site Engineer or geospatial professional looking to take your career in an exciting new direction? Ready to combine your hands-on expertise with cutting-edge technology and a client-focused approach?
Join KOREC as a Geospatial Sales Consultant and help organisations across the North West transform the way they capture, manage and use geospatial data.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical surveying, construction and engineering or geospatial experience who wants to move into a consultative commercial role. Previous sales experience is valuable but not essential. We are equally interested in technically knowledgeable candidates with the communication skills, curiosity and commercial aptitude to develop into a successful Geospatial Sales Consultant.
Location
Field-based, covering the North West. The role requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory, with occasional overnight stays where required.
Why Choose KOREC?
At KOREC, we are more than a technology provider; we are a community driven by innovation, customer satisfaction and personal growth. Representing Trimble’s world-leading geospatial solutions, you will help customers improve accuracy, productivity and decision-making through technologies such as GNSS and GPS systems, robotic total stations, 3D laser scanning, monitoring, UAVs, mapping solutions, rail and infrastructure solutions, and associated field and office software.
Our approach is collaborative and consultative. We take the time to understand each customer’s requirements and recommend practical solutions that help them work more safely, accurately and efficiently. You will also have access to KOREC specialists across rail, monitoring and GIS, together with support from our field-based Technical Support team.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and deliver a territory sales plan for your area, generating sales in line with agreed revenue and gross-margin targets.
- Identify, qualify, nurture and close new geospatial sales opportunities while developing existing customer relationships.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships across surveying, civil engineering, construction, rail, monitoring, utilities, infrastructure and mapping.
- Understand customers’ technical requirements, operational challenges and workflows, then recommend appropriate hardware, software, services, training and support.
- Demonstrate the practical benefits of Trimble geospatial equipment and KOREC software through customer meetings, site visits, technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Manage the complete sales process, including prospecting, qualification, solution development, proposals, negotiation and closing.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity pipelines, forecasts, territory updates and activity reports.
- Work with KOREC’s technical specialists, support teams, product experts and wider commercial functions to deliver effective customer solutions.
- Monitor industry developments, competitor activity and emerging customer needs within the territory.
- Represent KOREC professionally at trade shows, exhibitions, technical presentation days and other industry events.
- Follow company policies and applicable health and safety requirements to safeguard our employees, customers and business.
What We’re Looking For
You will bring practical experience from surveying, geomatics, geospatial technology, site engineering, civil engineering, construction technology or a closely related field, together with hands-on knowledge of surveying, positioning or engineering equipment and field workflows.
- Confidence understanding technical requirements and explaining solutions clearly to customers.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and consultative approach.
- Commercial awareness and the motivation to identify opportunities, develop a territory and work toward sales targets.
- A proactive, organised approach to prospecting, customer development and managing multiple sales opportunities.
- Confidence using computer-based systems and maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Northern UK.
- A full UK driving licence, subject to consideration of reasonable adjustments where appropriate.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
Experience selling geospatial, surveying, positioning, engineering or construction technology would be an advantage, as would familiarity with GNSS or GPS systems, robotic total stations, laser scanning, monitoring equipment, UAVs, mobile mapping or associated software. Territory management, technical demonstrations, consultative sales, CRM forecasting, and a relevant qualification in surveying, geomatics, engineering, construction, geography or a related discipline would also be beneficial, but are not required in every case.
What You’ll Get in Return
- Competitive base salary plus performance-related commission.
- Company car and fuel card.
- Tailored induction, comprehensive product training and ongoing sales and professional development.
- Access to experienced specialists across geospatial, rail, monitoring and GIS solutions.
- 23 days’ annual holiday plus bank holidays, with service-related increases up to 30 days.
- Pension scheme, Simply Health and life insurance.
- Perkbox benefits, corporate gym discounts, Cycle to Work scheme, Virgin Media discounts and Technology Purchase Scheme.
- Employee Assistance Programme and access to mental health and wellbeing resources.
