Site Supervisor
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced Supervisor to join their growing engineering team within the water industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering planned maintenance and project works across water and wastewater sites.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising planned project works and maintenance programmes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out on-site dynamic risk assessments and identify health and safety hazards.
• Perform mechanical fault finding and problem solving.
• Oversee and assist with mechanical installations on site.
• Plan daily works and allocate appropriate resources and skill sets.
• Provide technical support to site operatives to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
• Liaise with customers and project managers regarding site access and planning requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate site diaries.
• Ensure all operatives comply with health and safety procedures.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
• Carry out site surveys and attend client meetings.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of consumables and materials.
Requirements
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience within an engineering or mechanical environment.
• Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
• Experience working in an on-site engineering environment.
• Working knowledge of pipework, pumps, screens, and motors.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
