We are currently looking for a Senior Estimator or Estimator to join our client based just outside London. Preferably 5 years minimum estimating Civil Engineering projects, ideally in the Water sector.
Role: To play a significant role in ensuring the Company achieves its strategic objectives through effective pricing of tender submissions in line with relevant company policies and processes. Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties:
- Be able to carry out take-offs from drawings / BIM CAD models
- Be able to build up rates for labour, plant, material, s/c from first principles
- Responsible for ensuring all tender deliverables are met within defined timescales
- Understand contract requirements, specifications, obligations, roles and responsibilities
- Complete tender appraisals within required timescales
- Prepares / Prices tender submissions with most advantageous, accurate nett bids in line with any framework agreements / rates
- Communicate any issues within individual tenders or groups of bids that will present operational challenges or expose the company to increased risk
- Ensure tenders make sufficient allowance for health and safety issues
- Ensure tenders reflect realistic programmes for the delivery of the project
- Assist with development of Commercial Trainees / Estimating Administrators / Estimators

Technical Specification
Experience Required: 5 years experience in a similar role.
Essential Qualifications: EUSR water hygiene card. Competent in using Microsoft Word & Excel.
Desirable Qualifications: Competent in using Microsoft Project.
