Role Summary

  • Managing and maximising sales revenue across Cedar’s digital sales inventory.
  • Personally selling the new 1st party data opportunity retargeting British Airways customers via Meta platforms – this will be your primary focus.
  • Champion the monetisation of BA’s 1st party data within the sales team. Help, motivate and inspire the team to ensure revenue and sell-through is maximised across the digital inventory.
  • Along with our Digital Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for the expansion of Cedar’s digital sales portfolio.
  • Currently, the digital inventory includes BA Media (1st party data retargeting across Meta’s channels, offsite display, email, native and display advertising on High Life Digital) and Iberia Media (display on Iberia.com and native advertising on Iberia Plus).

Opportunity

The monetisation of British Airways customers’ 1st party data via Meta channels was introduced last October. Since launch we have run over 20 campaigns for brands such as Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, Barclays, Uber, Visit Qatar, Samsonite and Visit Jersey. We are now looking to employ an Ad Director to take a strong lead on this new advertising opportunity to increase the volume of bookings and critically, to expand the monetisation of the 1st party data past Meta social platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maximise your own personal sales of digital inventory and, where appropriate, sell across the whole Cedar portfolio, leveraging the valuable 1st party data inventory to drive incremental revenue.
  • Derive sales remit from your own lead sourcing, your ‘black book’ of contacts and you may suggest a collection of digital ad agencies to sell to.
  • Define and implement the digital sales strategy for 2026 and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in digital sales and experience of monetising 1st party data.
  • Minimum 2 years of Ad Director experience. While no direct man‑management is required in this role, experience of motivating, directing and inspiring other team members will be expected and assessed at interview.
  • Strong sales experience including lead sourcing, cold calling, proposal creation, presentation and negotiation.
  • Be able to demonstrate a view on how Cedar can develop its digital sales portfolio.
  • Illustrate a good understanding of the brands we should be targeting and why.
