Job Description

Your work will have a real-world impact. You will explore pioneering concepts through collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams of skilled scientists, engineers, and designers. You’ll see ideas become reality as you create impactful solutions through Awerian’s rapid approach to design, development and implementation.

As an FPGA Engineer - Consultant, you will tackle diverse, real-world challenges from the ground up. Typically, this will involve the whole product life cycle, capturing requirements, design and development, documentation, testing, and delivery. Awerian’s wide variety of intriguing projects, from proof-of-concept through to working prototypes, provide stimulating intellectual and practical challenges.

Qualifications

Requirements:

You bring a track record of academic excellence, hold a relevant degree, and have proven technical capabilities including the design and development of technology solutions in FPGA firmware (in VHDL/Verilog, using a toolchain such as Vivado / Quartus), have a proven track record of design and implementation of technological solutions.

Experience in developing Digital Signal Processing algorithms is highly advantageous.

In addition, experience in any of the following is desirable:

  • DSP/system modelling in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Electronics development
  • Embedded software development (typically with C/C++ and Linux expertise)
  • RADAR or communications applications
  • Software Defined Radios (SDRs)

We are keen to hear from FPGA Engineers with experience from diverse industry backgrounds, and from recent graduate to developed career stage, but previous experience in the defence sector is an advantage.
