You’ll see ideas become a reality as you create prototypes through Awerian’s rapid approach to design and implementation. It’s a fantastically challenging, varied, and agile role.

As a Simulation and Modelling Engineer, you will be modelling and analysing complex systems and the interaction between them using MATLAB / Simulink based tools. You will draw on your problem solving and engineering skills to build and develop mathematical models of complex systems. You may have an academic background in Electronics, Physics or Mathematics and will have industry experience. Defence experience is an advantage, but we will consider candidates from all sectors. Your problem-solving skills will be enhanced as you tackle complex engineering challenges that test your deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles. You will also have many opportunities to expand your skillset into different areas, based on what interests you.

You will have experience in:

  • Model-based systems engineering
  • Developing Physics based models of systems and the interactions between them
  • System architecture, engineering principles and processes
  • Test bench development
  • Code revision and review

Desirable Experience with hardware-in-the-loop Skills:

  • MATLAB / Simulink
  • Simulink HDL coder / Embedded coder (desirable)
  • DSP (desirable)
  • Radar signal processing (desirable)
