Absolute Law Recruitment are working with an exceptional firm in the North London area who are looking to appoint a Legal Secretary into their Conveyancing team. Working for one of London's leading law firms with a national and international presence, you will provide full secretarial and administrative support to the fee earner, liaising with clients and other staff as appropriate.
Duties to include:
- Audio and copy typing all correspondence to include letters and legal forms.
- Using digital dictation to produce documents.
- Undertake general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning and filing.
- PA duties including diary management.
- Undertaking Land Registry searches and responding to enquiries on behalf of lawyers.
- Managing post completions procedures including SDLT returns and title registrations.
- Opening and closing files.
- Access and input data on to the firm’s case management system.
Skills required:
- Proven experience with at least 3 years' of property expertise working as a Legal Secretary within a busy Conveyancing department.
- Fast and accurate typing skills.
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise.
- Good communication skills both on the telephone and in person.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
