Therefore, we are seeking a candidate with a good level of enthusiasm and tenacity to join our dynamic team.
The role involves being a Fire Door Inspector, focused on driving continuous improvement whilst maintaining and improving the level of personal service our clients have come to expect. Covering locations all across the country, most of your time will be spent at client’s locations managing your own time, with the rest of the time spent in the office or at home completing all the relevant paperwork. This role comes with lots of room for progression, starting as a Fire Door Inspector you will have the opportunity to work toward your health and safety and fire safety and risk management qualification.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct site inspections and provide detailed reports of findings with recommendations for the client to implement.
- Ensure clients are compliant with current legislation.
- Keep up to date with legislative requirements in regards to how they impact your role.
- Complete visual inspections and surveys on fire doors to ensure they are up to compliance standards.
- Produce reports and offer advice and recommendations to clients.
- Have a good understanding of Timber Fire Doors and door surroundings.
- Be able to identify that the frame specification is correct for the door's rating.
- Be able to ensure that the choice of frame, lining, casing, and intumescent smoke seals are compatible.
Qualifications and experience preferred:
- FDIS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Surveying experience of private and public sector properties.
- High attention to detail.
- Would consider ability to demonstrate suitable knowledge and/or experience in the sector for the right candidate.
