As Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within our hotels and commercial properties. The maintenance engineers’ primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. You will need to be reliable and hardworking and be able to work flexible hours including weekends and out of hours emergency call outs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the hotels and commercial properties including any faults or repairs.
  • Plumbing – unblocking drains/toilets, repairing/replacing taps etc.
  • Minor electrical works – replacing lamps/fittings, sockets and switches etc.
  • Carry out H&S tasks, i.e. weekly fire alarm tests, water temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling etc.
  • Maintenance on HVAC systems, i.e filter cleaning/replacing.
  • Ensure that the hotels and commercial properties are kept to the highest maintenance standards.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests and concerns raised by guests and team members according to the hotels reporting procedure.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • City & Guilds level 2 in any trade is desired but essential.
