We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting a client with Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy based in South West London.
Main duties of the job
As a Care Support Assistant , you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £16.37 for day shifts and £17.07 for waking night shifts.
This position involves variable part-time hours per week and hours change dependent upon term time and non-term time. We are recruiting for a small team of 5 part-time Care Support Assistants and 1 bank Care Support Assistant to share the below shift patterns:
Term time
Monday to Thursday – 4.30pm until 10pm
Saturdays – 10am until 5pm
Sunday to Thursday – 10pm until 8am (waking nights)
Non-term time
Monday to Saturday – 10am until 5pm
Sunday to Thursday – 10pm until 8am (waking nights)
Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant
- Assisting our client to meet their personal care and toileting needs
- Assisting our client withtheir daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
- Supporting our clientto attend appointments and community activities
- Administering medication when required
