Class 1 Tramper Driver
St. Helens | £18.50–£19.50 per hour | Ongoing work
We are currently looking for experienced Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers to join a busy general haulage operation based in St. Helens.
This is a great opportunity for reliable HGV drivers looking for regular nationwide work, with the potential for ongoing employment for the right candidate.
The Job
As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for:
General haulage work across the UK
Nationwide deliveries and collections
Staying away during the week
Operating the same vehicle throughout the week
Completing vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept in good condition
Completing delivery paperwork and following site procedures
Some vehicles are fitted with fridges. You will be advised in advance if your allocated vehicle does not have a fridge, allowing you time to bring your own if required.
Requirements
Class 1 (C+E) licence
Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
Previous tramper experience is preferred
Good knowledge of UK roads
Reliable and professional attitude
Good communication and timekeeping
Comfortable working away from home during the week
