Bartender, Alto Nineteen
Location: Level 19, Locke Canary Wharf, 2 Cartier Circle, London E14 5HF
Pay: £14.75 per hour OTE (base pay plus tronc)

Alto Nineteen is Canary Wharf’s newest rooftop restaurant and bar. It sits on Level 19 of Locke Canary Wharf, the London skyline stretches out beyond the windows, and there’s a buzz in the room from the first drink of the night to the last. We opened our doors in October 2026, and now we’re building the bar team that will define what Alto becomes.
The kitchen, led by chef Chris Dargavel, cooks modern Mediterranean food, and the bar matches it: bright, seasonal, ingredient-led drinks made with real craft. As a rooftop bartender in Canary Wharf, you’ll get in early on something new and help shape its personality.
What you’ll be doing
- Crafting signature and classic cocktails with precision and flair
- Serving wine, spirits, beer and low/no options to a premium standard
- Guiding guests through the drinks list and pairing with the Mediterranean menu
- Creating a warm, high-energy atmosphere that keeps the room coming back
- Keeping the bar immaculate, stocked and service-ready
- Working closely with our Bar Manager, Josh, and the wider restaurant team
Who we’re looking for
- Experience in a cocktail bar, rooftop venue, hotel bar or premium restaurant
- Passion for great drinks and genuine curiosity about flavour
- Natural warmth, confidence and a talent for reading guests
- Speed and accuracy under pressure without losing the polish
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Someone excited to grow with a brand-new opening
