Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking aCommis Chef - Coreus by Clare Smyth to join the pre-opening team for this highlyanticipatednew luxury hotel opening later this year. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hotelier to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the worlds most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
As a Commis Chef - Coreus by Clare Smyth, you will support the culinary team in preparing and presenting refined, high - quality dishes that contribute to an exceptional Guest and Member dining experience. You will execute precise mise - en - place, uphold exacting culinary standards, and actively contribute to departmental performance objectives.
Your responsibilities will include the following, delivered with excellence and professionalism:
Produce consistently high - quality cuisine in alignment with Hiltons luxury brand standards
Execute kitchen tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
Support kitchen revenue performance through disciplined food cost control
Provide reliable and proactive assistance to the kitchen brigade
Prepare and present dishes to exacting standards, in accordance with company guidelines
Maintain immaculate work areas, ensuring strict adherence to cross - contamination protocols
Complete all required mise - en - place for assigned menus and service periods
Support interdepartmental collaboration and maintain positive professional relationships
Promptly identify and report maintenance, hygiene, or safety concerns
Comply fully with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health, safety, and food hygiene legislation
Demonstrate awareness of departmental targets and actively contribute to their achievement
Consistently meet and exceed all health and hygiene requirements
Operate with environmental awareness, supporting the hotels sustainability commitments
What are we looking for? A Commis Chef within Hiltons luxury portfolio acts with integrity, professionalism, and a guest - first mindsetworking collaboratively to uphold the highest culinary standards. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef within a professional kitchen
NVQ Level 1 qualification or equivalent
A positive, motivated, and professional attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform calmly and effectively under pressure
Proven capability to follow instruction while contributing to a high - performing team
A clear passion for learning and long - term development in a culinary hospitality career
Proof of completion of a basic food hygiene certification
A genuine passion for food, technique, and the culinary arts
Completion of an accredited commercial cookery course or culinary apprenticeship
Experience multitasking within environments that demand rigorous operational and quality standards
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
NVQ Level 2 qualification
Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef Previous experience within a luxury or ultra luxury hospitality is highly desirable.
