VIQU have partnered with a leading organisation in the public sector to recruit for a Cache Developer for an initial 3-month contract.
The role:
The successful Cache Developer will support on the delivery of a number of regulatory-driven updates to a legacy information management system. Our client is currently migrating to a new system, however there are 8 specific changes required on the existing system to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice in the interim.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with InterSystems Caché to deliver predefined changes to the legacy system in line with regulatory objectives
- Develop and deliver defined system changes based on existing blueprints/specifications
- Work independently while collaborating with technical and compliance stakeholders as and when required
- Ensure updates meet relevant system regulations and standards
Key skills & experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with caching technologies, ideally InterSystems Caché
- Experience using database systems such as InterSystems Caché, SQL
- Proficient in programming languages e.g. ObjectScript, SQL, VB.Net, Python
- Proven ability to work from specifications/blueprints
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements/frameworks in clinical or healthcare systems would be an added bonus
Contract Overview
- Role: Cache Developer
- Length: 3-month initial contract
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Rate: £400 - £510 per day
- Location: Hybrid, Cardiff – 3 days per week onsite
