Palladium is a global organization delivering positive impact through international development programs. This role sits within the UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) programme, supporting climate action initiatives across multiple countries.

About the Role:

This is a high-intensity leadership role operating at the center of programme execution. As Programme Delivery Manager, you will oversee a complex portfolio of grants and activities, ensuring delivery is compliant, timely, and aligned with donor expectations. You will lead teams, manage risk, and act as a key interface between stakeholders, including the UK government. This is not a passive coordination role. It is operational command.

What You’ll Do:

  • Programme Delivery & Portfolio Oversight
    • Lead delivery across multiple countries, partners, and workstreams.
    • Ensure outputs meet timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
    • Continuously monitor performance and adjust delivery strategies as needed.
  • Grant Management & Compliance
    • Oversee the full grant lifecycle including contracting, due diligence, and compliance.
    • Ensure adherence to donor requirements, particularly FCDO standards.
    • Maintain strong controls around safeguarding, fraud prevention, and risk mitigation.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Line manage Regional Activity Managers and a Contracts Manager.
    • Provide direction, coaching, and performance oversight.
    • Ensure team alignment and effective prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain relationships with FCDO, delivery partners, and internal teams.
    • Operate with diplomacy and neutrality, particularly in politically sensitive contexts.
    • Act as a trusted interface between programme stakeholders.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving
    • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining delivery momentum.
    • Balance speed with compliance and quality assurance.
  • Data, Systems & Reporting
    • Use dashboards, Power BI, and programme systems to monitor progress.
    • Improve data quality and support evidence-based decision-making.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting across the portfolio.

About You:

  • Have a strong track record in programme delivery, grant management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Bring experience in donor-funded or publicly funded programmes.
  • Have worked in senior programme or delivery management roles.
  • Understand compliance frameworks, ideally within FCDO environments.
  • Have experience managing teams and driving performance in fast-paced settings.
  • Are confident working in multicultural and politically sensitive environments.
  • Bring strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Are fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Have experience with Power BI or similar data tools.
