Tektora is working with a UK client to engage an experienced DV-Cleared Network Engineer on an Inside IR35 contract. This role supports a combination of BAU operations and project delivery within a highly secure environment.
You will take ownership of network engineering activities end-to-end, from design and implementation through to incident resolution and documentation, working closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.
Key responsibilities:- Monitoring and supporting multiple network environments
- Investigating and resolving complex network incidents
- Producing Low Level Designs (LLDs) where required
- Supporting capacity, availability, and service improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with customers, project leads, and vendors
- Provisioning and configuring network services and devices
- Strong routing and switching (OSPF, BGP), WAN/LAN design, high availability
- Juniper technologies including Virtual Chassis, clustering, firewalls, Junos Space, Security Director, and Apstra
- EVPN / VXLAN, GRE tunnels, and VRFs
- PKI and certificate lifecycle management
- Security platforms, boundary controls, and encryption
- Identity and Access Management: Cisco ISE, Windows NPS (802.1X / RADIUS)
- Monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds and Splunk
- Core network services: IPAM, DHCP, DNS
- Extreme Networks experience desirable
- Active DV Clearance (essential)
- Experience and/or certification with major network vendors (e.g. JNCIS-ENT, JNCIS-DC, JNCIP-DC, JNCIA-SEC)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments
- Clear communicator with the ability to document designs and configurations
- Occasional out-of-hours work and on-call participation
- UK travel may be required, including overnight stays
