The business is an established UK based legal information, education & training organisation incorporated to deliver world-class law events, conferences, training programs & on-line media to the UK, European and Global legal sectors. With a record of selling out its last 20 major law events in succession, the company specialises in producing highly informative conferences, events, exhibitions and training programs delivered by renowned UK, European and Internationally acclaimed speakers from the legal and commercial worlds.
The Business Development Department is based from their Head Office in Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom. The Business Development team is fast-paced, results orientated with a supportive management structure. We have a dynamic department that centres on the development and nurture of each individual whilst providing additional training, opportunities and recognition for those that excel.
The Role: You will be proactively selling our industry leading events and portfolio to both existing and potential customers within the legal sector. You will be using professional sales tools and techniques in order to diagnose and understand client needs, and then match those needs with our products and solutions. For ambitious and talented business development executives, there is an accelerated career path to management level and unlimited opportunity to earn a high level of OTE.
Responsibilities:
- Research, find and identify senior level executives based on the events requirement.
- Attract, engage and sell to prospective delegates through various methods including phone calls, research, networking and social media.
- Identify the needs of the prospect and influence decisions within the whole 'decision-making' unit based on added value.
- Uphold the image & credibility of the company, ensuring all questions, objections or conditions are met or answered.
- Follow up and develop long standing working relationships with CEOs, Managing Partners and Partners within the legal sector.
- Generate new business and increase revenue from existing clients.
- Track and measure your own development (supported by our In-House training programme).
- Work closely with Production, Marketing and Sponsorship functions to deliver successful events and results.
- Accurately forecast and report activities and results.
- Provide input into the direction and strategy used for current and future campaigns.
Skills / Characteristics:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in either an event delegate sales role or a commercial B2B outbound telesales role (Experience must be recent).
- A desire to build a career in event sales.
- Driven and purposeful, committed and hardworking, ambitious and motivated in order to keep up with the pace of the business.
- Intelligent, sharp and logical.
- Tenacious, articulate and confident in engaging at director level.
- Resourceful, disciplined, thorough and able to demonstrate organisational skill.
- Professional, eager and open to learn sales process.
This Sales Executive role is offering a base salary of up to £22,000 + commission which could see the successful candidate surpassing £30,000 OTE in the first year. All applicants must be living in the U.K at time of application, and be eligible to work full time and without restriction in the U.K.
