The Role

Be at the centre of how Student Cribs uses technology to scale. This role sits within our Systems team and works across every department to identify inefficiencies, drive system improvements, and champion AI adoption. You will bridge the gap between the business and development team, dive into our database to support investment decisions, and help shape the digital roadmap as we grow toward a £1bn portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across every department to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and drive system improvements that have a direct impact on the business.
  • Understand the full student customer journey and ensure systems and data support the business in delivering a seamless experience from property search through to tenancy.
  • Own the bridge between the business and the development team. Translate requirements, keep projects moving, and ensure what gets built solves the problem.
  • Dive into the database to extract data, build reports, and support business case proposals that shape the digital roadmap.
  • Support delivery of the AI strategy, working closely with the Systems Manager and COO to utilise AI to improve efficiencies across the business.
  • Champion AI across the business. Experiment with Claude and ChatGPT, find practical applications, and help the wider team adopt AI to work smarter.
  • Create and maintain support documentation that makes systems accessible to everyone.
  • Own data quality. Lead best practices for data entry and validate what goes into the system.
  • Manage the flow of bug fixes and feature requests, prioritising what matters most and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Get involved in software testing, system rollouts, and process improvement projects as the company scales.

Role Requirements

  • Natural problem solver: you thrive on fixing things
  • Previousexperience in acustomer-facing or customerservicerole
  • Experience with SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly, politely, and in a friendly, professional manner.
  • An interest in both property and technology, and how they can be combined to drive business improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ora relatedfield.
