We have created an exciting opportunity for the role of Assistant Clinical Lead to join our existing team in The Prosthetics Department, Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, Stanmore.
The successful candidate will support the Combined Service Manager and the Clinical Manager in the running of the Prosthetic Department and to manage the day-to-day activities of the Prosthetist when required.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Clinical Manager when necessary (holidays, sickness etc.)
- Support in the effective and efficient running of prosthetic clinics on a daily basis.
This will require developing close links with prosthetists, consultants, workshop and admin manager to ensure clinical time is maximized and patient waiting lists and delivery times are effectively managed.
- Assist in the allocation/reallocation of patients as necessary, and to manage and review active patient numbers so that clinical experience and balance is maintained within the team as appropriate.
- Support the clinical training for prosthetists.
Responsibilities to include assistance in organizing relevant clinical training - both internally and externally, in line with service needs.
- Assist in ensuring the clinical staff undertake and maintain their ESR and/or IHasco training as appropriate.
- Deputise for the Clinical Manager when necessary to ensure clinical staff undergo regular clinical supervision and appraisals and monitor any follow-up actions.
- Assist in the Investigation and response to patient complaints in line with Company and Trust procedures.
- Assist on clinical projects e. g. Audit, introduction of new products/trials, clinical R&D and support supervision positions with students and apprentices
- Attend meetings as appropriate. MDT, user group etc.
- Support the team with other projects and responsibilities as required.
