Production Operative (Retractable Rail) Jobs in Andover at Stannah - Join Our Team!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative (Retractable Rail) to join Stannah based in Andover.

This job will involve working within the Retractable Rail team, supporting a range of production activities across the railshop.

You will receive training in a variety of areas, including Saw Operation, Production Building, Inspection and Packing, and Sub Assembly.

This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, with some duties involving heavy lifting.

As the Production Operative (Retractable Rail), you will work Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45, Friday 08:00 to 13:00.

This job is a permanent contract.

To be successful as the Production Operative (Retractable Rail), it is essential that you have the willingness to learn and work effectively within a production environment.

Previous production or manufacturing experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and effectively within the Retractable Rail production team, reporting to the Cell Coordinator.
  • Learn and carry out a variety of production tasks including saw operation, assembly, inspection, packing and sub-assembly activities.
  • Produce quality work within agreed timeframes and manufacturing standards.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately, maintaining high levels of communication with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate initiative by seeking additional work and supporting team members when required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work and learn within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong team-working skills with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Previous production or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
