Stannah is a family‑owned manufacturing and engineering company, known for its stairlifts and a range of lifting solutions for homes and buildings. The company has been transforming access and convenience for people since 1867 and now operates globally, employing the fifth generation of the founding family.

Salary up to £60,000 (incl OTE) based on skills and experience level. Stannah has recently been awarded the Lift and Escalator contract with Network Rail, creating new opportunities across Greater London, Gatwick and Stansted.

Working hours: Day Shift, 4 on 4 off working pattern (12‑hour shifts with a 45‑minute unpaid break). 07:00 – 19:00 on site.

Escalator Engineer Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance, repairs and call‑outs on escalators and moving walkways from various manufacturers.
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery, safety and customer care.
  • Perform effective risk assessments and maintain site log cards during every visit.
  • Participate in on‑call rota to cover holiday.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
