A leading built environment design consultancy that has been established for over 40 years, establishing themselves as multi-award-winning industry leaders, now have an opportunity for an Associate Director of Fire Engineering to join the London office.
As the Associate Director Fire Engineer you will join a team that is highly regarded in the industry as part of an extremely specialised group leading in Building Performance and Fire Engineering. You will need to apply your technical knowledge and skills as an individual contributor on projects and as a leading innovator in the field.
The Associate Director Fire Engineer will be involved in the management of business activities, assisting in proposal writing and meeting clients. You will be managing projects, plus play a key role in expanding the company's offering, developing fire strategies, completing evacuation and CFD modelling, plus fire safety and risk assessments, working closely with your team to ensure you achieve the best results.
Being the Associate Director Fire Engineer you will be client facing and able to undertake Business Development responsibilities, manage and deliver designs for a range of projects, support the work of fire engineers, and be technically well-rounded and able to leverage your experience to grow and develop the team around you.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge in fire engineering design and the various Regulations / British Standards
- Experience of CFD / zone modelling
- Capable of leading and participating in qualitative design reviews (QDR)
- Able to undertake site inspections and risk assessments
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Communication and coaching skills
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
