This role is suitable for a candidate with extensive experience of delivering multi-sector projects and detailed knowledge of low carbon technologies and sustainable design strategies. As Associate Building Services Engineer, you will become an integral part of our successful MEP and Sustainability Team, responsible for overseeing multiple projects, ensuring the highest design and quality standards, managing and mentoring team members, and leading the day-to-day management of the London team including client management, invoicing, team resources, and business development.

As Associate Building Services Engineer, you will be conscientious, enthusiastic, organised, and driven to achieve the highest professional standards, providing a constant positive influence on the team and encouraging others and lead by example.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of professional engineers, technicians and support staff.
- Manage and deliver a wide range of projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial and educational.
- Attend meetings with clients and multidisciplinary design teams as the MEP project lead.
- Develop and present high quality project design proposals to the project team and clients.
- Undertake project surveys including site inspections, stock condition, refurbishment and post-occupancy performance evaluations.
- Prepare high quality information including technical specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules, survey reports, and contract documentation.
- Responsible for maintaining and developing high quality standards of information production.
- Monitor and manage the performance and development reviews of team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering.
- Proven experience in a similar consultancy role.
- Extensive experience of delivering residential and mixed-use projects with heat networks and low carbon technologies.
- Experience of managing a team of engineers.
- Experience of managing project resources and finances.
- Detailed knowledge of low carbon and sustainable design and London Plan Energy Policy.
- Detailed knowledge of key Building Regulations and CIBSE Guides.
- Membership of a relevant industry body (CIBSE, IMechE, IET etc.).
