The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join our expanding Projects team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on generator installation projects across the UK and Europe, acting as both principal and sub-contractor.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while building strong client relationships and managing resources effectively.

The role requires regular travel to project sites across the UK and Europe, with all travel, hotel, and food expenses fully covered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple generator installation projects simultaneously, from handover through to commissioning.
  • Attend project handovers and review scope, delivery, and client requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for efficient project delivery.
  • Monitor budgets, financial performance, and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards.
  • Maintain accurate project records using CRM systems (e. g., Protean).
  • Oversee purchase orders, invoicing, and supplier management.
  • Support the development and appraisal of project administrators and engineers.
  • Travel regularly to project sites across the UK and Europe (expenses covered).
  • The Person
  • Strong background in project delivery within mechanical, electrical, or construction sectors.
  • Experience in generator projects desirable, but not essential.
  • Proven track record in managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Competent in using IT systems and project management software.
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the UK and Europe.
