Technical Sales Executive – Midlands
An established manufacturer of precision measurement and metrology equipment is looking to recruit a Technical Sales Executive to cover the Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong sales background who is interested in developing a career within technical sales.
You do not need an engineering or metrology background. The company is much more interested in finding someone dynamic, hungry and proactive with the right sales ability, attitude and willingness to learn. Full product and technical training will be provided.
The Role
- Approximately 65% account management / 35% new business
- Managing and developing existing customer accounts
- Identifying and winning new business across the Midlands
- Building long-term relationships with customers
- Regular face-to-face customer visits across the territory
- Working from the Milton Keynes office when not on the road
- Full product and technical training
- Ongoing mentorship and development
- Training opportunities in the UK and Germany
- Opportunity to complete internationally recognised AUKOM metrology training
The Person
- Previous B2B sales experience
- Experience of account management and/or new business development
- Dynamic, proactive and self-motivated
- Confident dealing with customers face-to-face
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ambitious and keen to develop a career within technical sales
- Genuine interest in learning technical products and solutions
- Engineering, manufacturing or metrology experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be a UK national due to security requirements at certain customer sites
Package
- £32,000 – £35,000 basic salary

The position covers the Midlands and would suit someone based within reasonable travelling distance of Milton Keynes.
