Regional Sales Manager – North East & Scotland
An established manufacturer of industrial automation technology is looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to develop its customer base across the North East of England and Scotland.
This is a field-based role offering considerable autonomy across the territory, managing and developing existing accounts while identifying and winning new business.
The company supplies a broad portfolio of sensor, safety, identification and automation technology into a wide range of industrial applications and has an established presence within the UK market.
The Role
- Manage and develop an established North East & Scotland sales territory
- Develop relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for further growth
- Generate new business across OEMs, end users and other industrial customers
- Provide technical and commercial support throughout the sales process
- Identify customer applications and recommend appropriate automation solutions
- Build long-term relationships with engineering, production and purchasing contacts
- Manage your own diary and territory activity
- Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with experience within industrial automation, controls or a related technical market.
You could currently be working as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Account Manager or Business Development Manager.
Experience with products such as sensors, machine safety, identification, vision, controls or wider automation technology would be particularly relevant.
Candidates coming from an automation distributor or a strong technical/engineering background with proven commercial experience will also be considered.
You should be comfortable developing existing accounts as well as generating new business and be able to work autonomously across a large geographical territory.
