Due to continued expansion, our client based just South of Shrewsbury is seeking a General Assistant to assist with the processing of sales orders mainly from their online business but also on their shop floor. You must have good IT skills and be able to pick things up quickly.

You will deal with the sales which would require you to print off sales orders and locate stock in the warehouse and get this prepared ready for dispatch to the online customers. This role can also be quite physically demanding due to the nature of the products that the company sells.

The role also involves stock control and some warehouse duties including assisting with taking deliveries. You will also be required to assist on the tills in the shop area of the company as well as assist with customer queries. You will also get involved in delivering orders using the company van so a full driving license is essential.

Working in a very friendly and thriving company offering a varied and interesting position to work in a very established company. This is a temporary position turning permanent after a probationary period with full-time hours; Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm every other Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm with two days off through the week in lieu with overtime available at a highly competitive rate of £8.50 per hour increasing to £9 per hour after probationary period.

Due to the location of the client and the delivery driving requirement it is essential that you drive and have your own transport.
