Are you an experienced Plate Maker with a background in Repro, Pre Press or Lithographic printing looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of an established printing business based in Nottingham and are looking for a skilled Plate Maker to join their Pre-Press team. This is a specialist role within a busy production environment, supporting the preparation of high-quality printing plates for lithographic production.
Previous Repro/Plate Maker industry experience is essential for this position. You'll need a good understanding of lithographic printing and Pre Press processes, along with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work to tight production deadlines.
As the new Experienced Plate Maker, you will:
- Produce and prepare high-quality printing plates for lithographic production
- Operate plate-making equipment and associated machinery
- Work accurately to job specifications and production requirements
- Check plates carefully to ensure they meet quality standards
- Ensure plates are prepared correctly and on time to support production schedules
- Work closely with the wider Pre Press and production teams
- Handle materials and finished plates safely and correctly
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient working area
- Follow company health & safety and quality procedures
- Support the wider Pre Press operation to ensure production runs smoothly
Main Requirements for This Role:
- Previous industry experience as a Plate Maker / Repro Plate Maker is essential
- Experience within a Lithographic printing and/or Pre Press environment is essential
- Good knowledge and understanding of lithographic printing processes
- Experience operating plate-making equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to technical specifications and production deadlines
- Strong understanding of quality requirements within a print environment
- Reliable, hardworking and committed approach
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Good awareness of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
