About QuantumLoopAI
QuantumLoopAI is one of the UK's fastest‑growing healthtech companies. Our AI‑powered platform, EMMA, is used by hundreds of organisations across the UK to manage communications, automate workflows and deliver better outcomes through intelligent automation. Backed by leading investors and scaling rapidly ahead of our Series A, we are building the infrastructure that will define the next generation of AI‑driven service delivery.
About The Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a hands‑on role combining both automation and manual testing. You will be responsible for ensuring that every feature and release meets our quality bar before it reaches production — defining test strategies, building automated test suites, and catching issues before our users do. You will work closely with developers, product owners and business analysts in a fast‑paced agile environment, taking ownership of quality across the full software delivery lifecycle.
What You Will Do
- Create test strategies, test plans and test cases, and execute them to ensure delivered software consistently meets quality standards.
- Design, build and maintain automated tests using Selenium and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Execute manual testing across functional, browser compatibility, device, smoke, integration and regression scenarios.
- Review user stories, acceptance criteria, code and tests produced by peers to ensure completeness and quality.
- Actively participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Assist in the rollout and post‑release support of applications to ensure quality is maintained across environments.
- Produce and maintain documentation including test reports and release notes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, test strategy and tooling across the team.
- Collaborate with a cross‑functional team who collectively take responsibility for deliverables and quality.
- Stay current with emerging QA tools, testing approaches and technologies, and bring actionable recommendations to the team.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL
- 2‑5 years of experience in a QA or software testing role, covering both manual and automated testing.
- Hands‑on experience with test automation using Selenium.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Strong understanding of the differences between and benefits of UI, API, integration and unit testing.
- Experience writing user stories, bugs, tasks and test cases in Azure DevOps or similar tools (Jira, etc.).
- Practical experience in functional testing, browser compatibility testing, device testing, smoke testing, integration testing and regression testing.
- Experience working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Able to create test strategies, plans and tests that can be clearly communicated to developers and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable adjusting style for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Self‑directed and able to manage your own day‑to‑day activities with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating asynchronously with a UK‑based team during UK business hours (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM GMT/BST).
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 accessibility testing standards.
- Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
- Exposure to security testing or penetration testing fundamentals.
- Understanding of configuration management and deployment pipelines.
- Previous programming experience (any language) — enough to read, understand and contribute to test code confidently.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests integrate into build and deployment processes.
LOGISTICS
Education: We value skills and experience over formal qualifications.
Working arrangements: Fully remote from India, aligned to UK business hours (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM GMT/BST).
Start date: Flexible.
Benefits
- Competitive package depending on experience.
- Potential share options.
- Professional development including conference attendance and CPD support.
- The opportunity to own quality across a platform that is scaling rapidly and serving hundreds of organisations.
- Remote working with a collaborative, supportive team.
- Exposure to cutting‑edge AI, voice and automation technologies.

- Transparency. Open communication, honest feedback, shared context.
- Ownership. You will have real autonomy to shape your work and our platform.
- Learning. We are building something new, and we learn from every experiment.
