Buyer - Responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day procurement of potatoes, vegetables and ingredients
- Organisation and involvement with the negotiation of contracts
- Building strong long-term partnerships with our suppliers
- Completing purchase orders and grower returns in an accurate and timely manner
- Communicating effectively to the team about any upcoming issues
- Joining daily stock calls and managing orders with suppliers on a daily basis
- Working with the onsite Planner to ensure sufficient stock
- Providing suppliers with 3 weeks forecast
- Producing a supplier scorecard
- Yield and pack out analysis
- Weekly communication with suppliers to discuss performance, invoicing and re-charges
Buyer - Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired:
- Previous experience of working in a procurement role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to effectively build relationships with suppliers
- Ability to present information in clear and informative ways
- Confident Microsoft Office skills
- Self starting attitude
- Team player
Schedule: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 with flexibility.
