Job Description

As a Methods Technician you will be required to:

  • Instigate, calculate, design and monitor all foundry methods.
  • Monitor, report and recommend solutions on issues involving capacity constraints and excess capacity.
  • Provide technical advice and suggest improvements in quality systems and sample procedures.
  • Deliver cost saving improvements across the plant, including reduction of waste, improvements in casting yields, improvements in methoding systems and the introduction of new technologies.
  • Provide technical assessments of foundry consumables.
  • Ensure method weights are up to date to deliver accurate casting weights.
  • Continuously improve production routes.

Qualifications

Requirements for a Methods Technician:

  • Experience in similar foundry environment with involvement in Methoding.
  • Demonstrable understanding and hands on experience in planning workflow.
  • Good computer skills required (MS Office etc.).
  • Strong communication skills.
