Job Description – Business Development Executive

This role is focused on generating new business for one of the fastest-growing Business Rates advisors in the UK.

Collaborating closely with my client’s market-leading data analytics and surveying team, the successful candidate will have a refined and targeted lead pool to which my client wishes to offer its services.

The messaging on these leads will be clear and concise, with the value-add of the service very much evident from the outset.

The successful candidate will work within a successful team of Business Development professionals and will leverage a range of outreach techniques to introduce and offer my client’s services.

Reflecting their consultative sales approach, my client offers a strong base salary with a realistic, uncapped commission structure and team bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with my client’s market-leading data and surveying teams to identify new business opportunities.
  • Clearly communicate targeted messaging to a refined prospect list, with emphasis placed on the value my client can create.
  • Arrange meetings through consultative, telephone-based outreach and conduct needs analysis for targeted prospects.
  • Join select client calls and meetings alongside experienced surveyors.
  • Drive signed terms and conditions for both current and upcoming Rating Lists across new and existing clients.
  • Represent my client with professionalism and integrity.
  • Significantly develop your knowledge and expertise of property tax through close working relationships with colleagues and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with surveyors and Directors to ensure effective, high-quality client interactions.
  • Use market insight and collaborate with internal teams to source and qualify leads.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in consultative selling and building strong client relationships.
  • A personable, persistent, and professional telephone manner.
  • The ability to articulate targeted messaging via email and other communication channels.
  • Comfortable and driven when working to targets and deadlines.
  • Skilled in lead sourcing, qualification, and follow-through.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive.
  • Results-driven and ambitious.
  • A strong team player.
  • Sales experience within property, real estate, or professional services is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
