As demand across major public sector programmes continues to grow, we are expanding our team and looking for a Talent Manager to support resourcing across multiple hiring models and workforce types.
The Role
As a Talent Manager, you will play a key role in sourcing, engaging, and placing talent across contractor, permanent, and fixed-term (FTC) roles. You will manage candidate pipelines, support hiring across complex programmes, and ensure a high-quality experience for both clients and candidates. This is a relationship-driven role suited to someone who understands the dynamics of public sector hiring and enjoys building strong networks within the contractor and permanent talent markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and engage high-quality candidates for contract, permanent, and FTC roles across public sector programmes
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines across key skill areas
- Manage the full candidate lifecycle from initial outreach through to placement and onboarding
- Work closely with clients and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and role requirements
- Coordinate interviews, feedback, and offer processes
- Support contractor onboarding and compliance processes where required
- Maintain accurate candidate and pipeline records within the CRM/ATS system
- Provide a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Support workforce planning and talent mapping activities for future hiring needs
Requirements
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or workforce delivery
- Experience working across contractor and permanent hiring
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple roles and hiring streams simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of compliance processes
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting for public sector organisations, consultancies, or government programmes
- Knowledge of contractor markets, IR35 considerations, or contingent workforce models
- Experience using recruitment systems and candidate databases
