About Nous
Nous is an AI‑powered assistant that helps households manage their bills, saving them money and time.
About the role
Nous is one of the UK’s fastest growing, AI‑native consumer start‑ups. We’re looking for an exceptional Growth Associate whose ambition matches our own and can help accelerate our next phase of scale. This is a high‑impact, high‑context role, ideal for a sharp, ambitious generalist who wants to learn fast, work on real problems, and build the muscle memory of how customer acquisition actually works at a high‑performance start‑up.
You’ll join our Growth team and work closely with senior leaders across the business – including our CEO Greg Marsh – to tackle some of our most important growth challenges. That might mean improving how we acquire customers, streamlining our internal systems, building systems to automate manual work or testing entirely new growth bets. You’ll need to bring sharp thinking, strong commercial instincts, and a clear bias for action.
Your first major project will be helping scale an unconventional and highly successful influencer programme. We treat influencer marketing as a high‑performance growth engine: a repeatable, data‑led system designed to drive measurable acquisition at scale. It’s a channel with serious commercial targets and you’ll help us build the systems that make it scale: sourcing, onboarding, briefing, and testing hundreds of creators in a way that’s data‑led, repeatable and efficient. If you like solving operational puzzles with clear metrics and creative variables that lean on your relationship‑building skills, this is a fascinating place to start.
From there, your remit will broaden. You might explore new acquisition channels, refine our landing pages and messaging, support conversion optimisation work, or build scrappy internal tools to automate manual processes. You won’t be boxed in and you’ll be working on meaningful problems from day one, with the support of smart, ambitious teammates around you.
We’re setting a high bar for this role. You don’t need to have done this role before, but you do need to be sharp, curious, and comfortable working in a high‑context environment where expectations are high and the learning curve is steep.
About you
This is a high‑performance role focused on customer acquisition. It’s ideal for someone in the early to middle stages of their career, e.g. 3–6 years of experience in a fast‑paced, commercial environment such as a start‑up, consultancy, marketing agency, or growth‑focused team. You’ll need to have seen how business growth works in practice, whether that’s running experiments, managing channels, analysing funnels, or helping commercial teams scale. You don’t need to be a deep specialist, but you do need to be hungry, sharp, curious, and excited to learn quickly by doing.
Key qualities we’re looking for:
- Exceptional determination. You are relentless in the pursuit of your goals, and have demonstrated unusual tenacity and determination in achieving them.
- Instinctively commercial. You have a natural flair for working the angles, and are always interested in how to get deals done.
- Structured and analytically minded. You break problems into parts, focus on what matters, and work towards clear, measurable outcomes.
- Good channel intuition. You are curious about how businesses acquire customers, how channels behave, and how creative and numbers work together.
- Excellent communicator. You write clearly, speak crisply, and are confident using data to drive decisions.
- Love for new tools. You thrive on getting them to work for you. You may not code, but you're confident you could learn to if you needed to.
- Owner mindset. You care about outcomes more than tasks, and you’re always looking for ways to improve what’s in front of you.
- Fast learner. You enjoy pace, don’t mind context‑switching, and thrive in conditions of ambiguity.
- Mission‑driven. You’re excited by the mission behind Nous, and motivated by helping households save time and money at scale.
We’re building a best‑in‑class acquisition team, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to grow with it. If you get a kick out of turning smart ideas into scalable systems – and helping important products reach the people who need them – we’d love to hear from you.
Remuneration and benefits
- Compelling package, including share options with life‑changing upside.
- An environment where you can do your best work.
- Great office set up for lots of collaborative working.
- The equipment, setup and training you need to do your best work.
- A high‑context environment with lots of exposure to the big decisions – be in the room when it happens (literally).
- Flexibility around remote work. If you sometimes just need to get your head down, that’s fine.
- Very good coffee.
- A well‑stocked kitchen so you can always make yourself a breakfast or light lunch on the house.
- Informal social every week, something bigger every month, plus a set‑piece event in the summer and again at Christmas.
- 33 days paid holidays.
