Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.
- Perform first-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.
- Carry out own first off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation.
- Competent in setting up and using machine tools.
- Confident in using precision measurement equipment.
- Proven experience in a machine shop environment.
Key Experience:
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
- Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.
- Over 5 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma, Mazak, Lathe, DMG, Matsura, Puma).
Additional Information:
- This role follows a day shift pattern and may in the future lead to a 6:00‑2:00, 2:00‑10:00 or 10:00‑6:00 shift pattern.
- Candidates must be self‑certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.
Security Clearance:
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. In the event that clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role, and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
