Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice-trained, experienced CNC Setter Operator (Mill/Turn).

Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.
  • Perform first-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.
  • Capability and competent in setting up and using machine tools.
  • Carry out own 1st off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation.
  • Proven experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Competent in setting up and using machine tools.
  • Confident in using precision measurement equipment.

Requirements

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
  • Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.
  • Over 5 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma , Mazak , Lathe, DMG , Matsura, Puma).
  • Additional Information

This role follows a day shift pattern and may in the future lead to a 6.00am - 2.00pm. 2.00pm - 10.00pm or 10.00pm - 6.00am shift pattern.

Candidates must be self-certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.

Security Clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
