Role OverviewWe are seeking a Retail IT Analyst with strong coordination skills to support and enhance our retail technology landscape. This role sits at the intersection of IT operations and business engagement, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of retail systems while supporting major transformation initiatives to BAU tasks.
You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to manage BAU activities, incidents, and continuous improvements across retail stores.
Key Responsibilities- Retail Technology Support
- Provide analytical and operational support for the retail technology stack, including:
- Front of House systems: POS, payments, printers, scanners, peripherals
- Back of House systems: store servers, networking, inventory, and operational applications
- Act as a key point of contact for store technology issues, coordinating investigation and resolution with internal IT teams and external vendors
- Monitor system performance, incidents, and trends to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Project & Change Coordination
- Work closely with the PMO to support delivery of major retail IT projects, including new store openings, system upgrades, and rollouts
- Coordinate project activities across business, IT, and third-party suppliers to ensure milestones are met
- Support testing, deployment, and hypercare activities during project implementations
- Ensure changes are communicated clearly to impacted stakeholders and stores
- Business-as-Usual (BAU) Operations
- Coordinate BAU tasks, incidents, and service requests related to retail systems
- Facilitate communication between stores, business teams, and IT support functions
- Ensure issues are logged, tracked, prioritised, and resolved in line with agreed SLAs
- Maintain documentation for processes, systems, and known issues
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with retail operations, finance, supply chain, and IT teams
- Act as a trusted liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into clear technical requirements
- Provide regular status updates, reporting, and insights to stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve system stability, support processes, and user experience in stores
- Support standardisation and best practices across EMEA retail locations
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and lessons learned

- Experience with retail technology stacks, including POS, payments, printers, scanners, and store back-office systems
- Exposure to retail environments and store operations
- Experience supporting or coordinating technology projects
- Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, problem, change)
- Desirable
- Experience in an IT analyst, retail IT, or technology support role
- Strong coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including PMO, business stakeholders, and IT delivery teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
