Department: Retail

Reporting to: Stock Manager

The Stock Associate is part of the stock team and responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining store inventory. It requires close attention to detail, the ability to conduct moderate to heavy physical labour, and strong organizational skills.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Keep selling floor and merchandise neat, organized and stocked.
  • Assist in cleaning up the store and stockroom during closing shifts.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floor.
  • Assist in all areas of stock, shipping, receiving protocol/policies and all shipping/receiving related paperwork.
  • Check items received against shipping invoice to ensure the shipment is accurate.
  • Replenish stock on the sales floor as needed.
  • Packs up defective items or overstock and arranges for the return shipment.
  • Observe proper safety procedures in the stockroom, particularly when lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Report issues or problems to stock manager or store manager.
  • Participate in inventories.
  • Assist managers and associates in preventing theft and maintaining proper inventory.
  • Comply with all Point-of-Sale policies and procedures.
  • Properly execute all relevant register functions.
  • Adhere to work schedule, inclusive of time and attendance.
  • Attend store meetings.
  • Participate in all relevant training and development seminars, programs and meetings as directed by store management.

Customer Service

  • Provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Answer customer and sales associate questions about available items in stock.
  • Retrieve items from stockroom at customer request.
  • Place special orders for customers when necessary.
  • Build and maintain repeat clientele; utilize client book.
  • Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in retail and luxury.
  • Able to work as a team member.
  • Excellent personal organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possesses physical strength necessary to unload, lift, and carry heavy boxes.
  • Familiar with inventory software.
  • Demonstrates ability to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
  • Exhibits familiarity with proper safety procedures in the stockroom.
  • Able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Able to work on different tasks easily – Multi-tasking.
