We are currently seeking an
Electrical Site Supervisor to join the Grid & Digital Solutions Department of the Thermal Power & HVDC Division for the delivery of the EGL1 Project, based in Torness, Scotland.
Your role will encompass
- Supervising and coordinating day-to-day electrical construction activities on site.
- Leading electrical subcontractors and site teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of works.
- Ensuring all electrical installations are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, and applicable standards.
- Monitoring workforce productivity, construction progress, and site performance against the project schedule.
- Identifying and escalating technical issues, site constraints, and potential delays while supporting their resolution.
- Verifying the availability of materials, tools, and equipment required for the execution of electrical works.
- Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring compliance with quality control requirements.
- Supporting testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Coordinating with engineering, construction, quality, and HSE teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Preparing daily and weekly progress reports and maintaining accurate site records.
- Promoting and enforcing the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance on site.
What you bring to the role
- Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction projects, with proven experience in supervising electrical installation works, subcontractors, and site teams within the power generation, transmission, or energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, construction drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities in a live construction environment.
- Familiarity with UK construction and HSE regulations is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
