Manning Global, an internationally renowned staffing and managed services organisation specialising in providing staffing solutions for leading corporations in AI, IT & Telecoms, Engineering, Digital Media, Automotive and Renewable Energy, is recruiting for Warehouse Supervisors (Shift Lead) on behalf of one of their blue-chip international clients to join their organisation in the UK.

Employment: Full time

Start Date: August/2026

Country: UK – Office based - Tamworth

Salary range: 35,000.00 GBP per year max. dependent upon experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Logistics team Health, Safety and Fire Management.
  • Leading the warehouse floor on all fronts and day-to-day operations.
  • Processing all Inbound/Outbound Delivery and organising the recycling process.
  • Paperwork administration and floor management.
  • Training and coordinating teams/members and supporting performance management.
  • Supporting the Warehouse Manager to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence with inbound, outbound, recycling and assuring quality of goods throughout the warehouse.
  • Overseeing stock control including counting, processing, troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Producing accurate reports to the Warehouse Manager of the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Strategising with the Warehouse Manager and prioritising duties, ensuring service levels and deadlines are achieved.
  • Monitoring/control the supply of packaging items to ensure smooth running of day-to-day distribution.
  • Leading the team to help organise and maintain inventory and storage areas.
  • Communicating job expectations to coach employees in the warehouse on a daily basis.
  • Reporting back on daily operation efficiency and recommending staffing levels and optimisation to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensuring all documentation and reports are kept in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Supporting the Warehouse Manager in warehouse innovation and adjustments to improve business flow.
  • Ensuring all picking and loading is adhered to by company standards.
  • Leading on Health, Safety and Fire in accordance with the Client quality system.
  • Assisting with administrative support to the office and warehouse teams by organising and processing paperwork, documents and computer-based information.
  • Ensuring that all new starters are fully trained and inducted into the business correctly.
  • Supporting the Warehouse Manager with full performance management, grievance and disciplinary issues and procedures.
  • Motivating and encouraging team members at all times.
  • Covering all Line Management responsibilities as advised and communicated by the HR Team.
  • Developing members of your team through successful induction, training and mentorship.
  • Coordinating and supervising the day-to-day activities of Client employees, ensuring daily performance targets are achieved.
  • Delivering and promoting a culture which encourages and develops direct reports in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with covering the responsibilities of other members of the team in their absence.
  • Taking pride in personal appearance reflecting the Client brand.
  • Taking responsibility for own health, safety and wellbeing; and that of visitors and other employees; ensuring compliance with Client’s Health and Safety policy, procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Being responsible for own behaviour and acting in a manner that avoids and discourages any form of discrimination or harassment.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all Client policies.
  • Willingly carrying out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role and Client as an organisation.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Computer literacy, including IFS cloud and Microsoft 365.
  • Warehouse management experience.
  • Experience managing shifts would be a plus.
  • Good leadership experience.
  • Flexibility to work different shift patterns to suit business needs.
  • Proven success promoting new ideas within the warehouse operation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • Positive attitude (can do mentality).
  • Forklift trained.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
