The role of the Technical Project Manager is to be a leader within the Operations Department. He/she is the strongest technical figurehead within the team, managing and strengthening the delivery of all projects within the business and executing the company’s core values at all times.
About Us: My client is a leading UK AV and UC integrator based in Reading, Berkshire. Established in 1999, they have provided thousands of clients with perfect, reliable, and cost-effective AV and UC solutions for their collaboration, presentation, and communication spaces. Their incredible team of design consultants, engineers, AV project managers, programmers, and technicians are constantly working to provide clients across the UK with the best audio-visual solutions.
The Team: My client's Operations Department team is responsible for all online delivery from various online stores, all service contracts with their premier customers, and the excellent delivery of all projects from site surveys to multiple phase/week installations with their own engineers and sub-contract engineers.
Must Haves:
- Solution Design/Technical check.
- Display a high technical understanding of all the company’s products and services.
- May attend supplier and vendor training sessions to ensure up to date on all technology and products.
- Where required, become certified on supplier/manufacturer accreditations to bolster the company’s standing within that supplier/manufacturer.
- Identify gaps in knowledge and work with the Managing Director to plug these gaps.
- Manage projects with an administrative team to a high standard, ensuring excellent customer service, quality on site, and protection of margins.
- Ensure service contract standards and SLA are adhered to and the service manager is covering all logs.
- Manage all engineers in-house and external, including appropriate insurances, vehicles, and PPE when required.
- Demonstrate an understanding of all company products, services, and business processes, as well as having a high level of technical knowledge to deliver solutions accurately.
- Manage margins/budgets of each project.
- Ensure quality of equipment, cables, quotes, and engineers adhere to the company’s AV standard.
- Alongside the administrators, organise and deliver all projects to their standard.
- Technical specification of all jobs, cable schedules, and drawings where required.
- Ensure all R & M and training are kept up to date.
- Overall management of service contracts alongside a designated engineer.
- Demonstrate pro-active behaviour in driving repeat business through quality work and customer delight.
