About the Job

As a supervisor, you will provide a high-quality, customer-focused service by supervising a team of skilled trade operatives delivering contracted services for the London Borough of Hounslow. You will oversee and guide trade operatives, ensuring exceptional performance through a team of engaged employees.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Effectively supervise a team of skilled trade operatives, ensuring timely completion of work activities.
  • Ensure high standards of work are maintained through regular site visits.
  • Conduct one-to-one meetings with operatives to discuss performance, development, and wellbeing.
  • Manage performance conduct or absence issues in accordance with company policy.
  • Identify opportunities for operational performance enhancement and customer excellence.
  • Work with other areas within the business to allocate and schedule labour effectively.
  • Responsible for a company vehicle, including regular checks and maintenance.
  • Ensure operatives’ vehicles are clean and maintained according to fleet requirements.
  • Complete all paperwork and electronic updates accurately and on time.
  • Provide high levels of customer care when dealing with enquiries from tenants and leaseholders.
  • Ensure safety by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant training and operational support across various workstreams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain service continuity.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and contribute to projects outside the primary remit when required.

Education & Qualifications desirable:

  • Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ 2-3 or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Working knowledge of statutory legislation regarding health & safety.
  • Previous experience in a social housing repairs environment is desirable.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, written, oral, and communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, delivering outstanding customer experience.
  • Full UK driving license.
