The predicted salary is between 55000 - 65000 £ per year.

This position is to run a migration of a number of Clients from one system to another and will require stakeholder/Client contact. Citrix skills are advantageous but not compulsory. A level of mobility is required.

Instrumental in supporting the Project Management function within a project services environment, this role requires a strong, commercially aware and dynamic individual with proven programme management capabilities. The individual will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of business change and IT projects and programmes to agreed time, cost and quality standards across a multi-client estate. The individual must have a demonstrable ability to work across all levels of stakeholders and third parties within a commercial environment.

Accountable for:

  • Design, initiation and leading larger scale and complex programmes to achieve defined business outcomes, e.g. Divisional Target Operating Models (TOM)
  • Planning across all stages of the programme lifecycle and obtaining appropriate levels of sign-off
  • Determining programme budget, gaining approval to proceed and managing the programme to the budget
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality objectives
  • Execution of project plans, monitoring progress and taking all necessary actions and escalations where appropriate
  • Management of projects through the required stage gates and adherence to frameworks and governance
  • Control of scope; raising and gaining approval of changes to scope
  • Reporting progress at agreed intervals to the required governance framework
  • Engaging and communicating effectively with key business and client stakeholders
  • Ability to apply an appropriate level of challenge to ensure positive outcome
  • Risk identification, documentation and impact assessment, including action mitigation
  • Issue and dependency management with appropriate stakeholder communication
  • Provision of accurate project and financial status updates
  • Support the recruitment and selection of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers
  • Coaching and developing team members and wider project services community
  • Working in accordance with Client group policies, client and regulatory requirements and operational frameworks
  • Role modelling the Client values

Skills & experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of driving and delivering large, complex business change programmes and capital investment programmes within a matrix environment
  • Well developed communication and relationship management skills, honed during the delivery of numerous complex and challenging projects
  • To lead by example; being visible and accessible; setting the tone and pace for the programme by clearly communicating programme goals and success criteria; clearly specifying required outcomes
  • Line management experience of project managers including objective setting and performance management
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced working environment with excellent organisational skills
  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to apply an appropriate level of challenge to senior stakeholders
  • Encourages development of others through knowledge sharing to negate the risk of key man dependencies
  • A team player; is a positive contributor to team; takes pride in helping the team to deliver
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and communicate in business language
  • Experience of working with business customers and technical delivery resources (including third party suppliers) to deliver change and/or transformation projects

Desirable

  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner or industry standard equivalent qualification
  • Experience working within an outsourcing environment
  • Experience working within a contact centre environment
  • Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, Prince 2 and ITIL principles
  • IT/Technology experience
