About the Role:

  • Department: Bristol Office
  • Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Reports to: Operations Manager
  • Location: Bristol Office, BS35 3UT with travel to client sites

Main purpose of the role:

To support in the development of our Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Projects, by preparing and submitting detailed tenders and estimation of costs.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full tender process from Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Selection Questionnaires (SQs) to Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and final presentations.
  • Produce compelling executive summaries and structured, evaluative technical responses that meet client evaluation criteria and scoring methodologies.
  • Ensure all submissions strictly adhere to procurement regulations, client deadlines, and internal governance or pricing reviews.
  • Attend site surveys and client meetings where appropriate.
  • Liase with clients, consultants and supply chain.
  • Develop winning strategies by evaluating project risks, competitor analysis, pricing models, and technical solutions.
  • Facilitate kick-off meetings and workshops, gathering critical input from technical, commercial, and operational stakeholders.
  • Assist the wider Bristol Projects team proactively and with flexibility.
  • Undertake any other duties as required for the smooth running of the business.

Person Specification:

Knowledge and experience of:

  • Solid experience estimating HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel).
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • A good level of construction management experience.
  • Understanding of take offs and scale drawings.
  • HNC level education in Building Services.

Skills and abilities:

  • Be a problem solver, using discretion to direct enquiries where appropriate to ensure business efficiency.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across all levels and locations within the business.
  • Sound organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a wider team.
