A long established manufacturer of high‑speed special purpose machinery who supply leading global, blue‑chip companies is now seeking a technical, mechanically biased engineer. The ideal candidate will have previous service, maintenance and/or commissioning experience of motion production machines with complex mechanical moving parts, providing customer technical support and generating after‑sales opportunities.

Reporting & Customer Management

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Technical Customer Support Engineer will play a key customer management role, serving as the primary point of contact for the global customer base and providing remote diagnostic technical service support efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximising after‑sales service opportunities with customers.
  • Developing new business leads throughout the customer base and proactively promoting sales of maintenance contracts, training masterclasses, machine refurbishments and replacements for new machines.
  • Supporting the team of service engineers who travel extensively internationally, reviewing their service reports to identify and suggest opportunities to maximise sales with customers.

Qualifications

Ideal applicants will have strong engineering skills, be mechanically biased with electrical knowledge, possess a proven track record of excellent customer service and client relationship management, be commercially focused and have experience working with special purpose machinery.
