A long established manufacturer of high-speed special purpose machinery who supply leading global, blue-chip companies are now seeking a technically skilled mechanically biased engineer with previous service, maintenance and/or commissioning experience of motion production machines with complex mechanical moving parts providing customer technical support and the increase in after sales opportunities.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Technical Customer Support Engineer will play a key customer management role being the primary point of contact for their global customer base providing remote diagnostic technical service support efficiently and professionally.
Also with this role, you will be responsible for maximising aftersales service opportunities with their customers, developing new business leads throughout their customer base and proactively promoting the sale of maintenance contracts, training masterclasses, machine refurbishments and replacements for new machines.
A key responsibility of this position will be to support the team of service engineers, who travel extensively internationally. Proactively reviewing the engineer's service reports to identify and suggest opportunities to maximise sales with their customers.
Ideal applicants will have strong engineering skills, be mechanically biased with electrical knowledge, have a proven track record of excellent customer service and client relationships management, be commercially focused and have worked with special purpose machinery.
This is a new position that has been created within the company and depending on the individual looking to pay competitive market rates in addition to an aftersales commission and discretionary bonus. Other benefits include a 37 hour week, 25 days holiday, company pension scheme, and life insurance x6.
