Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Certain Personnel/Modified Direct Hiring Authority. Duties

  • For GS-09:
  • You will assist with designing, building, implementing, and maintaing a knowledge of management framework that provides end-users access to the organization's intellectual capital.
  • You will gain an understanding of the needs and requirements of information end-users.
  • You will participate in planning and managing the delivery of knowledge management projects.
  • You will assist in monitoring and reporting the usage of knowledge assets and resources.
  • For GS-11:
  • You will lead efforts to promote the organization's use of knowledge management and information sharing.
  • You will promote knowledge sharing between information owners/users through an organization’s operational processes and systems.
  • You will provide recommendations on data structures and databases that ensure correct and quality production of reports/management information.
  • You will track and report testing activities, check for timely delivery of different milestones, design or evaluate test plans.
  • You will verify content and structure of all testing documents and reports, organize training and provide progress and test status reporting

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization of facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 431-Knowledge Manager, proficiency level (Intermediate).
  • The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

For GS-09:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) experience assisting with digital library maintenance, 2) updating knowledge portal permissions, 3) providing end-user technical support for collaboration suites, and 4) creating basic workflow automations..

For GS-11:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) experience designing SharePoint/collaboration site architectures, 2) creating complex automated workflows, 3) formulating taxonomy standards, and 4) conducting Knowledge Management (KM) training for enterprise workgroups.

Education

For GS-09:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

For GS-11:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

Additional information

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
