Chandlers Building Supplies is a trusted supplier of building materials across the South East, recognised for quality products, excellent customer service and strong local relationships.

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver / Yard Operative to join our busy team in Thanet. This is a varied, hands-on role, with approximately 90% of your time spent making customer deliveries and the remainder supporting the day-to-day operation of the yard. If you enjoy being on the road, working as part of a team and delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver building materials safely and efficiently to customers
  • Complete deliveries accurately and on time
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
  • Load, secure and unload materials safely
  • Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
Yard Duties
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
  • Help maintain stock organisation
  • Keep the yard clean, safe and tidy
  • Support the wider team with day-to-day yard operations
What We're Looking ForEssential
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable
  • Previous experience as a Van Driver, Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative or within a Builders Merchant
  • Knowledge of building materials
Working Hours
  • Week 1: Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
