We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver / Yard Operative to join our busy team in Thanet. This is a varied, hands-on role, with approximately 90% of your time spent making customer deliveries and the remainder supporting the day-to-day operation of the yard. If you enjoy being on the road, working as part of a team and delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver building materials safely and efficiently to customers
- Complete deliveries accurately and on time
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
- Load, secure and unload materials safely
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
- Help maintain stock organisation
- Keep the yard clean, safe and tidy
- Support the wider team with day-to-day yard operations
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to health and safety
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative or within a Builders Merchant
- Knowledge of building materials
- Week 1: Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Week 2: Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
