Fitter (Assembly Team)
Location: Heysham
Pay: £30,000 - £45,000 per year

We're working with a well-established engineering business (via Hunters 4 Staff) that designs and builds fuel storage tanks and equipment used across multiple industries. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a hands-on Fitter to join their busy assembly team. It's a practical role with real variety, working on large-scale builds from start to finish.
What you'll be doing
- Assembling heavy-duty steel tanks and equipment to detailed specifications
- Installing electrical components including single and three-phase systems (motors, pumps, control panels)
- Carrying out pipefitting work - installing fuel lines, valves, and pipework
- Completing pressure tests, electrical checks, and final inspections
- Reading engineering drawings and solving fitment issues as they arise
- Solid experience in mechanical fitting or assembly (engineering, plant, automotive, or similar)
- Confidence working with electrical systems, including wiring and fault finding
- Practical experience with pipefitting, fuel lines, or similar systems
- Good understanding of workshop health & safety
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
