Reporting to: Group Finance Director

The business: Our client is a PE-backed, acquisitive group with around £250m revenue. As it keeps growing through acquisitions, it's hiring a Head of Regional Finance to be the senior finance partner to the regional leadership team.

The role: You'll be the main finance partner to the CRO and Regional MDs. You'll own the financial story for your regions: what has happened, why it happened, what's likely to happen next and what support management needs. The role is commercial and highly visible, and you'll regularly present insight to the Group CEO, CFO and COO.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary senior finance partner to the regional CRO and senior leadership team
  • Identify and explain the key drivers of regional revenue, cost and EBITDA performance, backed by KPI data
  • Review financial and operational information from the delivery teams and challenge whether reported performance makes sense against budget and forecast
  • Write monthly regional management commentary with clear explanations of variances and the actions needed
  • Work with the relevant teams on budgeting and forecasting so they reflect what's actually happening in each region
  • Support group senior management with results, KPIs, ad hoc analysis and projects
  • Lead the post-deal financial integration of acquisitions, including balance sheet reviews, updating budget templates for consolidation and managing handover from legacy finance teams
  • Contribute to value creation across the regions
  • Support internal and external audit (balance sheet recs, income recs and monthly schedules)
  • Help standardise best practice across the finance function

About you:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Strong track record in senior business partnering, ideally in a multi-site, regional or branch-based business
  • Commercially minded and confident challenging senior operational leaders
  • Able to turn complex numbers into a clear story with actions attached
  • Experience in a PE-backed or acquisitive environment, or of post-acquisition integration, would be a strong advantage
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced business where priorities change

Why apply?

  • A high-profile role with direct exposure to the Group's leadership team
  • A real hand in a PE-backed growth story with an active acquisition strategy
  • A hybrid pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 from home, with a central Liverpool Street office
